Wake the F&*% Up America

Well it’s December and here we are back in chaos. While I’ve been out of action on here, we’ve seen the second (or is it third?) act of the Stupid Pete show, complete with such illuminating and inspiring commentary as “Fog of War” and ” I had another meeting to go to” (since apparently watching US forces in action isn’t top priority for the Secretary). Also the publishing of the Inspector General’s report on SignalGate, which concluded (depending on who you are) either that Slick Hair Pete was completely exonerated, or a complete incompetent moron, who put American soldiers at risk. No need to worry though, Congress has promised to provide tighter oversight, as evidenced by Senator Tom Cotton’s idiotic commentary about what he saw on the video, most of which has been quickly disproven. No the boat wasn’t headed towards the U.S., we still have zero evidence provided that they are actually carrying drugs, the legal basis for the entire operation has yet to be provided to Congress, the narco-terrorists didn’t communicate with anyone (per the Admiral in charge) to “further” their objective and they were adrift in the ocean before being blown to bits. War Crime? Quite possibly, but why worry, all we need is the President’s word that it’s justified, right? Who does Congress think they are getting involved in questioning us starting a war with Venezuela (that’s what “land action” clearly represents) anyways? Oh, that’s right. They are the legal entity with the authority to declare war in the Constitution. Well we’ll have to change that won’t we, since none of the other things written in the constitution seem to matter anymore.

The real question is, does anyone in America care about what is going on, or what we are becoming as a country? What is going on is chaos, and what we are becoming is an unhinged nuclear power with the world’s strongest armed forces led by a megalomaniac who conducts foreign policy just like domestic policy; i.e., transactionally based on what’s in it for him. Not America First but Trump first. Meanwhile the Trumplican party majority in Congress is too chicken S&*% to challenge him on ANYTHING, while the Supreme Hypocritical Court continues to empower unlimited Executive powers. It’s going to be very entertaining to see that come back to bite them (as it surely will), whether that’s by Trump eventually just ignoring their rulings or maybe arguing to dissolve them, or by a future Democratic President (if they have the balls) using it to enact liberal priorities, attack conservative media, fire everyone Trump put in charge without review or whatever. Project 2028 should be a clear vision of how to disassemble all of Russel Vought and Stephen Miller’s accomplishments and just for good measure destroy all the White House decorations and/or modifications enacted by Donald.

Let’s take a few minutes to understand what is going on first, especially the inane level of hypocrisy associated with Trump promises vs. Trump actions. Start with the economy. “We’re going to bring prices down from Day One”. Oops, no we’re not. You know why? Because you can’t, the President doesn’t control most aspects of the economy directly, so unless you institute price controls, it’s not happening. “Affordability is a Democratic scam. We (Republicans) should be talking about affordability as we have so much to say”. So which is it? Take note, Americans are having trouble affording food (one in seven are food challenged), can’t afford to buy a home (or new car) anymore (goodbye American dream), are staring at large increases in Health insurance costs (whether from Obamacare or employer provided plans) and can only watch as electricity and natural gas costs spiral upwards. Meanwhile, El Presidente is building a huge, ostentatious ballroom that no one needs or wants after having gilded the Oval Office in garish Casino gold tackiness, giving it a distinctly “let them eat cake” vibe.

Second, let’s talk about forever wars. “We’re going to end the Ukraine war before we take office, or in 24 hours”. Or maybe not. Thus far the “best” Trump peace plan for Ukraine is a word for word regurgitation of Vladimir Putin’s favorite talking points. Pathetic. Donald will NEVER stand up to Putin no matter how much “noise” he makes about doing so. Why is that? At the best it’s because he’s weak and afraid, at the worst, well….you know that answer. Switch to Gaza. Yes, there is a ceasefire (if that’s what you want to call an arrangement that Israel violates constantly). Of course it took tens of thousands of civilian deaths, numerous examples of war crimes and blatant ignoring of U.S. desires or requests repeatedly before anyone called Netanyahu on it. Still no real cessation of hostilities, now Israeli settlers are attacking the West Bank. There will never be real peace as long as Netanyahu is there as he can’t remain in power with peace.

Beyond Gaza, there are the 6 or 10 or 27 whatever the number is of wars that Trump has “ended”. None are truly ended, several have disputed Trump’s characterization of involvement, and just for good measure, we are starting one (at face value) with the drug cartels. Now absolutely no one in America has any sympathy for the drug cartels, but starting a war with them won’t solve America’s drug problem, the suppliers will just move somewhere else as long as demand remains. And who believes that the multibillion dollar drug lords will just roll over quietly because big, bad Don says so? If anything has the makings of a “forever” war, it’s this one, with a high likelihood of assassinations or violence on U.S. soil. We have essentially declared war on civilians supposedly carrying drugs (possibly to the U.S. but maybe not), killing 87 people thus far under absolutely no legal justification, even if they are drug smugglers. Forgetting all the drama around the “narcoterrorist” thing, the real question is, can the President just decide someone is a terrorist, without any supporting intelligence, then order the military to kill them (civilians) without any declaration of war with anyone? Doesn’t that scare the living s$%^ out of everyone with a brain or a conscience?

Next up is reshoring American industry. According to Trump, we have received hundreds of trillions of investment due to his wonderful trade policies (tariffs). Guess again. First of all, the numbers are just statements, not hard commitments, most of which stretch over 10 years at least. Given the fact that the U.S. economy is approximately $31 trillion in 2025, one should really question “hundreds of trillions”. My prediction is these “commitments” look a lot more like FoxConn from Trump 1.0. Huge public announcement followed several years later by a whimpering withdrawal with basically none of the jobs or impact quoted. Let’s face it, world leaders and global companies have figured out you can EASILY play Trump. Flatter him, give him some type of personal bribery gift (FIFA peace prize anyone?), make some type of vague commitment, then wait and see what happens politically. If 2026 swings power in either house of Congress, the commitments will vaporize as soon as they realize Trump is a lame duck with no lasting power. Besides, the economics simply don’t work. The tariffs won’t pay for the billions of $ in investments required to build world scale manufacturing facilities (let alone trillions), because there is no guarantee the tariffs remain past 2028. Besides we don’t have the trained work force to operate them, and the millennial/Gen Z workforce doesn’t want to work in “dirty, obsolete” factories to begin with. Sounds very promising doesn’t it?

We don’t have the necessary talent pool in America to build or operate high tech facilities according to Trump, so we need to “import” skilled labor from India and elsewhere to make the transition. The truth is, Tech Companies are using HB1 visa people to undercut salaries from American citizens simply because they can, and it makes tech billionaires richer. So to offset that, the Trump administration is suing numerous colleges and universities about their DEI programs (my guess is those costs get loaded right back into the costs for tuition and fees), thereby exacerbating the already astronomical cost of higher education in America, which has led to huge numbers of people hopelessly in school loan debt. But no worries, we are shutting down the Department of Education anyways, since we’ve clearly addressed all of our education needs in America.

Back to the huge new factories, brimming with jobs that we cam’t staff, have we forgotten AI? The Trump administration is pushing AI and data centers relentlessly, even to the extent of trying to prohibit states from regulating AI. The electric power demand created by these is driving electric costs ever upward (since almost none of the data center projects are building their own capacity). This leaves us the public picking up the cost in our electric bills for projects that may or may not come to fruition. And if they do? Oh that’s right, they won’t create any jobs because AI is going to eliminate workers not generate demand for them. I feel better now, don’t you?

How about climate change? You know that item you see every day or night on the news for any of you that care to be informed about something other than drivel. It manifests itself constantly in adverse weather, causing 100 year storms every week, flooding, winds, fires, throughout every section of the country. All aggravated by climate change driven by mankind’s impact. The answer? Drill, baby, drill. Burn more fossil fuels. Restart coal plants. Kill off solar tax credits or rebates because after all, it’s the cheapest form of new generating power available, as evidenced by its rapid expansion in SOOOO many red states, starting with Texas. Same for wind power. Biggest adders or users of solar and wind power? Those solidly liberal bastions of Texas and Iowa. Why? Because they are the cheapest and quickest source of new generating capacity there is. Be sure to kill off the EV business before it really gets underway, because it’s important to keep those oil and gas companies whole. Besides, that allows the Chinese, who are already way out in front of us on EVs and solar technology to build an insurmountable lead. Republicans just love oil and gas, that’s why they continue to support them and refuse to hold them accountable for any climate impact. Enough so, that the underlying cause for starting a war with Venezuela is really oil not drugs. We don’t have the capacity to refine all of our own oil (despite being the world’s biggest producer), because our refineries are built to process heavier crudes like, oh Venezuelan crude. That’s critical for producing diesel.

Next up is health. The Trump administration has an all-out war on vaccines, led by the conspiracy nutcase, roadkill eating, swimming in sewage head of HHS, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. The man who said “I wouldn’t take medical advice from me” is in charge of the agencies dispensing medical advice. Brilliant. Americans pay the highest prices for health care and prescription drugs in the world, and 15 years after ObamaCare first began, the Republican Party STILL doesn’t have a health care plan. Their present song (same as the old song) is……drum roll…..high deductible health care plans with HSAs. Of course, just what people that can’t afford their premiums need, an HSA, which can’t be used to pay for premiums. Never mind that the logical users of high deductible plans with HSAs are people like me when I was working. High income white collar jobs that can afford to put money away into an HSA and that can swallow the high deductible payment should they actually need serious health care. The rest of you? Good luck with that. Are there things that could be fixed in Obamacare? Of course, it has failed at providing any type of Affordable Care, but has vastly increased the number of insured people. Why does that matter? Because uninsured people are treated in hospitals just like insured people (required to do so), just the rest of us inherit their bills in our premiums.

So what about our freedoms? The First Amendment is clearly only for those that agree with the President Everyone else is under constant legal, political or social media attack, including members of Congress, media companies, universities, Fortune 500 companies, law firms, you name it. Do any of you out there understand that if a Republican “conservative” President can attack the 1st Amendment enabled by the Supreme Hypocrites, then a Democratic “liberal” President can attack the 2nd Amendment just the same? Do all of you Trump supporters out there feel good about yourselves listening to the President demean women constantly? Does that make you feel like a big man? Does the blatant racist and bigoted undercurrent that reverberates throughout most of the Republican Party, from Donald Trump, to “bro” podcasters, to young Republicans to Tucker Carlson, to the Heritage Foundation make you feel superior? The incessant putting down of black and brown people, especially women, isn’t an obscure phenomenon, it is THE language of Donald Trump, J.D.Vance, Marco Rubio and Stephen Miller. For those of you with hispanic heritage, do you enjoy being profiled as “brown or hispanic” by where you work, where you eat, where you congregate? ICE has been clearly just arresting everyone who even looks remotely hispanic, it has nothing to do with the “worst” element or the violent criminals, if you’re brown you are down for deportation. Many, many people in the country legally including U.S citizens have been caught up in this madness, being run by Nazi wannabe Stephen Miller and his pet pit bull Tom Homan. Did you vote for this type of persecution? No one really questions that we need border security, but more importantly we need a comprehensive immigration policy that addresses all of our circumstances. What has Donald given us? All immigrants are bad, are evil and the source of all American shortcomings and if we just got rid of all of them we would be in a golden age. Actually what he means is a white privilege age. Doesn’t matter if you agree with Republicans on abortion, or immigration or jobs, you will never be white enough for them. You know who is? Afrikaaners. Those stalwart guardians of freedom from South Africa.

So is this really what all of you voted for? If it is, then you are truly deplorable so to speak. Anyone who enjoys making people suffer or relishes cruelty is just a sadist. Of course as the recent chats among Young Republicans reveal, admiration of Hitler and the Nazis, demeaning of people of color, proclaiming Jews the source of evil in the world or laughing at the cruelty being exerted towards immigrants says a lot to answer that question. Sorry J.D. Vance, those weren’t “kids just saying things”. They were people up to 40 years old, some in elected political positions, showing America exactly what the future of the Republican Party looks like. A bunch of racist, bigoted white supremacist, Neo-nazi, nationalistic “Christians” whose mantra is simply to hate everyone not like them. Just what Jesus taught us right?

WAKE THE F#$% UP AMERICA! This is your country, and more importantly, this is the country your children will grow up in and inherit. Is this what you voted for? Donald Trump is the biggest con man in the history of American Politics, a pathological liar. He says anything that he thinks people will agree with, then does none of it. What does he do? Puts his finger on the scales to make billionaires and his family richer at the expense of all of us, while espousing a Make America White Again philosophy. That’s the reality. What about lower costs, no inflation, all wars ended on Day One, manufacturing roaring back with high paying jobs, better and cheaper health care, farmers doing fantastic and all that other BULLS#$% he ran on? Where is it? Why doesn’t Congress do something about it? Why are we building ballrooms, putting our name on things like the Kennedy Center and the Institute of Peace when average Americans can’t pay for groceries, their power bills or afford health insurance? Why are you following a man who is falling asleep in Cabinet meetings every day, making Joe Biden look like a dynamo? Who can’t put together a coherent speech on any subject? Who has to be praised in Cabinet meetings at the greatest leader ever while he is over there snoozing? Who still hasn’t released all the Epstein files? What an insecure, spoiled little rich boy with the world’s most fragile ego and no real friends. Who the hell voted for this level of insanity? What are we going to do about it? Stand there and let him destroy this country? Or do the only thing you can in our system? Vote them out of power or at the least into stasis by flipping the House. It’s up to us.
